The Great Compassion Mantra (大悲咒), also known as the Nilakantha Dharani, is a revered Buddhist chant associated with Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva (Guanyin), symbolizing boundless compassion. Consisting of 84 lines and 415 syllables, it is believed to bring powerful blessings to those who recite it sincerely. Chanting the mantra is said to offer numerous benefits, including protection from harm, healing of illnesses, purification of karma, removal of obstacles, increase in wisdom, and the cultivation of a compassionate heart.
